Customised Cookies in Udaipur — Hand-Decorated, Eggless, Made to Order

The design is yours, not whatever happens to be in the display case.

There's a version of a cookie that exists to be eaten. And there's a version that exists to be looked at, photographed, given, and then eaten.

Customised cookies are the second kind.

The ones with a bride's name written in royal icing. A baby shower with sugar-paste elephant motifs. A corporate event where the packaging carries the company logo. A birthday where the cookie is shaped like a camera, a sneaker, a book — whatever the person is known for.

At Simply Sweet, this is one of Diya's specialities. Hand-decorated, 100% eggless, and made to order — which means the design is yours, not whatever happens to be in the display case.

The difference

What Makes a Customised Cookie Different

Most bakeries that offer decorated cookies are working from a small set of stock designs. You pick from what's available. The personalisation is limited to, at best, a name piped onto a standard shape.

Customised cookies at Simply Sweet work differently. The starting point is what you actually want — the occasion, the theme, the colour palette, the specific detail that makes it relevant to this person or this event. The design follows from that conversation, not the other way around.

The base is a butter cookie — eggless, with a clean flavour and a firm enough structure to hold detailed icing work without crumbling. The decoration is royal icing, which sets completely, making the cookies stackable, giftable, and transportable without the design smearing.

The level of detail possible is high. Brush embroidery. Marbling. Fine linework. Gold luster. Multi-colour fills. These aren't decorations applied quickly — they're the result of the kind of focused, small-scale work that experienced cake decorators know and most people don't expect to find on a cookie.

For every celebration

Occasions People Order These For

Weddings. Customised cookies work both as wedding favours and as part of the wider wedding spread. For favours: the couple's initials, a motif from the wedding theme, the venue's architectural silhouette. For the dessert table: cookies that carry the colour palette and aesthetic of the event.

Mehendi. For the mehendi, we've made palm-shaped cookies decorated with chocolate icing in henna-style patterns — paisleys, florals and fine linework, just like the mehendi itself. They sit beautifully on the mehendi dessert table and make a thoughtful takeaway for guests.

Baby showers. Pastel palettes, baby-relevant motifs — a onesie, a name, a footprint, stars. Often ordered in sets that include brownies and cupcakes for a coordinated dessert table.

Birthdays. The cookie as a portrait of the person. Someone who loves plants gets leaf-motif cookies. A teenager obsessed with a particular show gets cookies referencing it. A milestone birthday — 30, 50 — gets cookies that reflect how well the gifter knows the person.

Corporate gifting. Logo cookies for client events, product launches, or office celebrations. The cookie as branded merchandise, except edible and considerably more appreciated than a pen.

Festive gifting. Diwali, Eid, Christmas — cookies shaped and decorated for the occasion, packaged for gifting. A step above the standard mithai box in terms of both presentation and memorability.

Just because. Not every occasion needs a name. Someone doing something hard deserves something good. A friend who moved cities. A teacher at the end of the year. A person who had a difficult few months and needs to know someone noticed.

The process

What to Expect When You Order

The process starts with a conversation — what's the occasion, what design direction are you thinking, how many pieces, when do you need them.

Diya may share reference images or sketch out an idea based on what you describe. For complex designs or large quantities, a sample may be made before the full order is confirmed.

Everything is made fresh. The cookies aren't sitting in a tin from last week. They're baked and decorated close to the date, which is part of why the lead time matters — for customised cookies, giving advance notice isn't a formality, it's what makes the order possible.

Packaging is part of the product.

Individual cookies come in sealed packaging that keeps them fresh and presentable. Larger orders are often boxed and ribboned for gifting. If the packaging itself needs to carry a specific colour or a branded element, that's part of the conversation at the start.

Ordering

Ordering Customised Cookies from Simply Sweet

Message Simply Sweet on WhatsApp with the occasion, the quantity you're thinking about, your date, and any initial ideas about the design. Reference images are helpful — a photo of a colour palette, a motif you like, a design from Pinterest — but not required.

Simply Sweet delivers across Udaipur. For events in palace venues or large wedding orders, delivery coordination is handled as part of the booking.

The earlier you reach out, the better — especially for weddings and corporate events where quantities are higher and the design conversation takes more time.
